Karen Steinhauser has struck out on her own after less than a year at family law firm Gutterman Griffiths.
The professor at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law will continue work in criminal defense and, she said. After years of working in district attorneys’ offices and at some of the city’s larger firms, she said she’s looking forward to the change of pace.
“There’s something about being on my own and not answering to anybody,” she said.
Steinhauser had joined Gutterman Griffiths last June after the Denver firm Isaacson Rosenbaum, where she had been a partner, closed that month. Prior to entering private practice, she served 20 years in the Denver District Attorney’s Office.
